The current weather conditions are amazing! With constant high pressure conditions, there is one clear night after the other. While during the day, temperatures are nice and warm, we have cool nights and soon 10 hours of astronomical darkness.

Summer 2018 is history! And I hardly wrote any update. That's because I was on vacation(s) (!!!) with Olivia and even the blood moon and opposition of Mars resulted in not a single picture. But the nice weather beginnig of September allowed me to collect some photons - even during moonlight, thanks to my narrow-band filters.

On July, 27th, there will be an astronomical Midsummer Night's Dream: Mars is in opposition and the same night, a total lunar eclipse will be visible in Europe. I will open my observatory for public observation aswell, focussing on school kids with their parents.

Since mid of June, there is no more astronomical darkness at the position of my observatory. But nevertheless I can't let go the clear nights and so one premiere follows the next.
