Astronomical Midsummer Night's Dream
On July, 27th, there will be an astronomical Midsummer Night's Dream: Mars is in opposition and the same night, a total lunar eclipse will be visible in Europe. I will open my observatory for public observation aswell, focussing on school kids with their parents.
We will start around 8 p.m. watching the first visible planets like Jupiter and Saturn. At dawn, we will see the partially eclipsed moon rise on the eastern horizon followed by Mars. I am already looking forward to enjoy this celestial spectacle with some kids and their parents.
If you are planning to attend, please contact me beforehand. As space in my observatory is quite limited, no walk-ins will be possible.
